While we carefully inspect every eucalyptus tree, Japanese maple, and houseplant before shipment, we understand that sometimes returns or exchanges are necessary. Please review our policy below.
Our 15-Day Happiness Guarantee
We offer a 15-day return window from the date of delivery for most of our plants. To be eligible for a return or exchange:
- The plant must arrive damaged, diseased, or significantly different from what was ordered
- You must contact us within 48 hours of delivery for perishable items
- The plant must be in its original condition (photographic evidence may be required)
Non-Returnable Items
Due to their perishable nature, we cannot accept returns for:
- Fragrant plants that have been removed from their original packaging
- Fruit trees & plants that show signs of improper care after delivery
- Any plant that has been planted or repotted since delivery
Return & Exchange Process
- Contact Us: Email [email protected] within 15 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the issue.
- Approval: Our plant specialists will review your request within 2 business days.
- Return Shipping: If approved, we’ll provide a return shipping label (cost deducted from refund for non-quality issues).
- Inspection: Once received at our Seattle nursery, we’ll inspect the plant within 3 business days.
- Resolution: Choose between:
- Replacement of the same plant (subject to availability)
- Store credit for your next purchase of magnolias, hedges, or other plants
- Refund to your original payment method
Refund Timeline & Methods
Refunds are processed within 5 business days after we receive and inspect your return:
- Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, JCB): 3-10 business days to appear on your statement
- PayPal: Typically appears within 24 hours
Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
Exchange Requests
Want to exchange your Japanese maple for a different variety? Prefer a different fragrant plant? We’re happy to help! The exchange process follows the same steps as returns, with these additional notes:
- Price differences will be charged/refunded accordingly
- Exchanges are subject to availability in our premium plant collection
- You’re responsible for return shipping unless the exchange is due to our error
